Our Privacy Policy

We believe in full transparency about how your data is collected, used, and protected on Apex Muse.

Information We Collect

When you create an account or interact with Apex Muse, we collect information you provide directly — such as your wallet address, display name, profile image, and email address. We do not collect or store private keys at any point.

We also collect usage data automatically: pages visited, actions taken, NFTs viewed or purchased, bid history, browser type, IP address, and device identifiers. This helps us improve the platform and detect fraud.

If you contact our support team, we retain the content of that communication including any attachments you send, solely to resolve your request and improve our service quality.

How We Use Your Data

We use your information to operate and personalise the Apex Muse marketplace — displaying relevant artworks, processing transactions, sending bid notifications, and maintaining your collection history.

With your consent we may send marketing emails about new features, curated drops, or platform announcements. You can opt out at any time from your account settings or via the unsubscribe link in any email.

We analyse aggregated, anonymised usage data to understand how the platform is used, identify bugs, and prioritise product improvements. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.

Cookies & Tracking

Apex Muse uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you authenticated and maintain session state. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

With your consent, we set analytics cookies (via a privacy-respecting provider) to measure page performance and user flows. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell your browsing data to ad networks.

Blockchain & On-chain Data

All NFT mints, transfers, and auction settlements are recorded on a public blockchain. This data — including your wallet address and transaction history — is immutable and visible to anyone. Apex Muse has no ability to delete or alter on-chain records.

We strongly recommend using a wallet address you are comfortable associating with your public artist or collector identity, as all on-chain activity is permanently public.

Blockchain transactions are publicly visible and permanent. No privacy tool — including ours — can change this fundamental property of decentralised networks.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the platform — such as cloud infrastructure, email delivery, and fraud-detection vendors — under strict data processing agreements.

We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Apex Muse, our users, or the public. We will notify you of such requests where legally permitted.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you. You may also have the right to restrict or object to certain processing activities.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@apexmuse.io with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days. Note that some data — such as on-chain transaction records — cannot be erased due to the nature of public blockchains.

To submit a data request email privacy@apexmuse.io with subject "Data Request". Include your registered email or wallet address so we can verify your identity.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls, and regular third-party security audits.

Despite our efforts, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at security@apexmuse.io.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you by email (if you have provided one) and display a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before changes take effect.

Continued use of Apex Muse after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. The date at the top of this page always reflects when the policy was last updated.
